The Grammy Award Winning Gospel brother and sister duo BeBe and CeCe Winans received the 2,452nd star on the Hollywood Walk of fame yesterday. They come from a singing family and they are the seventh and eighth out of ten kids from Mom and Pop Winans. I have been hearing the Winans sing since I was a tot and was forced to go to church. All of the Winans have distinctive voices but I must say I love theirs the best.
BeBe and Cece got their start in 1982 as part of the PTL Singers on The PTL Club. It was nice to see Jim Baker President of The PTL Club who gave them their breaks years ago right by their sides during this special occasion. They have racked up 15 Grammy Awards amongst the two. They are known for their contemporary style which was quite effective in reaching the younger generation. I don’t know not one young person who haven’t heard “Addictive Love” one of their chart toppers. They will join the Gospel Greats James Cleveland, Mahalia Jackson, and Andrae Crouch.
Congratulations to BeBe and Cece Winans Well Done
