KANYE WEST GOES HAM ON A FAN OVER A LASER POINTER

Kanye West, you either hate him or love him, and although he irks my soul at times, I appreciate his stance when he’s on stage. Kanye gives it to you raw and uncut. During a Watch the Throne performance in Paris a fan was flashing a laser pointer, interfering with the lights and productions of the show, and in true Kanye fashion he told the fan ”You see this guy right here with the green laser? Don’t f**k with everybody’s show. This is not a f**king game. You’re going to get f**ked up and kicked out, I don’t want that s**t. So chill the f**k out.”

The fan got the message and the show continued, but in all the hoopla that surrounded one woman’s tweet, set twitter blazing FIRE!!!!!! All Eyez were on Beyonce and Jay-Z’s bestie Gwyneth Paltrow, who was front and center at the show and tweeted ”N***as in Paris for real.” The tweets poured in calling Gwyneth a racist, and her response of “Hold up. It’s the title of the song!” didn’t smooth over to well.

The Dream coming to her defense saying he was responsible for the tweet, he used her phone and sent the tweet, and to please excuse him, he’s white boy wasted didn’t work either. Twitter responses straddled the fence, which caused me to ask a few questions. Is it ok for our “white friends to use the N word in our presence….do we give them passes? Did Gwenny pooh take it too far, being too close for comfort, or Are we too overly sensitive when it comes to the N word when used by non blacks?

Kanye and Jay-Z just dropped the visuals for the long awaited “No Church In The Wild” from Watch the Throne, upon viewing it last night I was speechless, from the Illuminati associated imagery to a revolution revved up in a dark battle cry, serving Molotov cocktails…. this was by far the best ever without either party making an appearance.

The video doesn’t look like a battle between good and evil but, more about power and control…hence the police vs protesters, with Frank Ocean a member of OFWGKTA singing the hook caused for a deeper interpretation…..after the video

KANYE WEST CRYING FOR AMBER ROSE ON STAGE IN PHILLY

Watch the Throne Concert blew into Philly last night. I have seen Jay Z every time he has come to my city, but last night performance was bananas. Kanye West poured his heart out on stage as he performed “ Runaway” the song he wrote for Amber Rose. He damn near cried realizing he made a mistake that he may not be able to fix. It must be hard to see the one you love happy with another industry cat.

I saw him through a new pair of lenses last night. Everybody makes mistakes but if you havent learned any lessons from it…. history shall soon repeat. My hat goes off to you Kanye it takes a strong man to show true feelings. I’m not a sensitive person but at that moment I felt his pain.

They performed on the first day of their two-day weekend music festival. As you know Jay Z and Alicia Keys lit that Arena on F.I.R.E. performing their power house single “Empire State Of Mind“. Something about them singing their Ode to their city makes you sang out in unison, even if you’re not a New Yorker.

Launching via iTunes along with protecting the album from boot legging leakers helped drive sales up,up,up. “Watch The Throne” set a new record for iTunes selling 290,000 digital copies in its first week release, surpassing Coldplay who sold 282,000 in its first week back in 2008. Soundscan reports 436,000 sold first week. They fell short to Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” selling 1.1 mil its first week debut.

Jay-Z has been a part of three successful collaborations that hit number 1 on Billboard 200. R.Kelly“Unfinished Business, Lincoln Park” Collision Course, and West Watch The Throne’. Is that a good reason for Jay to go out and celebrate wasting 250,000 on bottles of champagne, leaving a tip in the amount of 50,000 ……..HELL YEAH.

WATCH THE THROWN

THIS ALBUM IS THE SH*T. I was excited when I heard HAM, and then when I heard Otis I did’t have to close my eyes to journey into music. The mixing of the old with new has been done over and over, but to hear Otis Redding playing in the backgroung and the in and out flow of JayZ and Kanye was orgasmic. Billboard 200 to the top they will go, Jay has reached billboard 200 eleven times and Kanye five.
