BET’s “Born To Dance” with Laurieann Gibson provides a platform for the untrained dancer. It is surprisingly good. Laurieann has shared the screen with Jessica Alba in “Honey“, choreographed for Sean Comb and the most recent Lady Gaga. It is very uplifting and refreshing to see Laurieann exposing young ladies to different dance techniques, along with giving a brief history about the dances they were learning. I have seen here in “Making the band” and formed an opinion a negative opinion, I might add. She appeared confrontational as well as cocky.
Laurieann’s show opens a window which displays her passion and perfection for dance, that seems to drive her to challenge people to be the best at dancing. After watching the first episode I must say, I am hooked. The way she encourage and critique the young ladies is amazing . You get to see a glimpse of Laurieann’s tender side…….. it’s authentic. I ‘m anticipating the following episodes, I just hope it lives up to the viewers expectations.
DANCE DOES NOT SEE COLOR NOR GENDER,
ONLY POWERFUL DISPLAYS OF UNITY… CATCH THE WAVE.
