Brandy covers PYNK Magazine and dishes the dirt on how she’s about to blow up. Brandy is floating on cloud nine in her own bubble that can’t be burst. From starring in BET’s hit show The Game, to being in the makings of dropping a hot album, to preparing to be some fine asz music executive’s wife, and managing being a mommy all at the same damn time she’s definitely in the zone.
Brandy is in her own lane and she’s comfortable with that. She also talks about why she think she would be best suited playing Whitney in the new biopic along with the tapings of a reality show ups and downs.
Brandy wants to know why she’s not recognized for her longevity in the game because she was getting it long before a Beyonce was even thought of.
Check out a few excerpts from her interview with PYNK Mag
On how she feels about not being recognized for her longevity and being one of the top chicks in the game
Sometimes I agree with it because I know there are a lot of talented people that have shown me a lot of love on top of my fans really expressing their love for me. Sometimes I think your ego gets in the way because you know you want everybody to feel that way about you. You want to get the credit. You want to get the props but I try not to live in that space because I know it’s ego. I’m just happy with being me. I’m happy with being able to be so connected in my being that I’m able to express that in my music. There are so many people who get the credit but they’re not really connected to their music. I would take the honesty and the connection with my music over the credit any day…but both would be nice! [laughs]”
On the current state of R&B and who she would love to collaborate with
I’m not okay with the current state of R&B. That’s why ‘Two-Eleven’ was so important to me. I wanted to do an album that contributed to that genre of music. I think it was very necessary for the music industry and the hearts of people. As far as newcomers, I hadn’t really been paying attention because I was so focused on the album but I can’t help but pay attention to Kelly Rowland. I admire her so much and would love to collaborate with her. Beyoncé is phenomenal and Rihanna is amazing too.
You and your family experienced great success doing reality TV. Would you ever do reality TV again?
“You know, I think I did reality TV at the wrong time. When I was on [Family Business] I wasn’t as consistent in my career. I wasn’t connected to my purpose at the time. After that, I said I wouldn’t do reality TV again but there are shows out there now like the ‘Mary/Mary’ show that are good. I would consider it if it were centered more on my career.”
What would be your dream [acting] role?
“Honestly, my dream role would be to play Whitney [Houston]. I studied her growing up, I knew her. I just feel that connection with her. I would love to be able to play her. I believe it could happen.”
You recently became engaged. How did you and your fiancé meet and how did you know he was “the one”?
“He’s a music executive. So, we actually met in the studio a long time ago. We reconnected at a music event sometime later and when we talked, it just felt like I knew him. Then I would just run into him in random places in New York…I’d walk into a restaurant for lunch and he’d be there. I ended up running to him at another event and he kept staring at me the whole night. It made me so uncomfortable because I thought he was married. So, I told him that he should stop staring at me because he’s married and it’s not a good look. He was like ‘what are you talking about? I’m not married.’ [laughs] From there, we just started talking on the phone. Then, dating. When he told me he was relocating to LA for his job, I just thought to myself, ‘he’s going to be my husband’. I took that as a sign.”

The last works of Whitney Houston is amazing. Jordin Sparks and Whitney’s video “Celebrate ” is refreshing. The vocals were arranged nicely, with both vocalist complimenting each other. The video has a party theme, with splashes of scenes from the movie, that included Whitney.
Jordin Sparks shared with BET her special on set memories of Whitney and making the video “Celebrate” without Whitney. “We planned on it being Whitney and me, but she’s not here, so we wanted to make it a tribute to her,” Sparks said. Sparkle is due in theaters Aug 17.
The movie is targeted to a young audience as well as the older audience that remembers the classic movie and of course want to see Whitney on the big screen again…….with this talented all star cast, I smell a blockbuster hit.
Bishop Noel Jones fathered a love child with former X-Factor Stacy Francis during their steamy love affair. Oh what a tangled web we weave…..A Bishop having an affair and fathering a love child doesn’t shock me at all, the fact that the secret was well kept, and Stacy was the one to spill the tea now, that ish is cray.
Former X Factor finalist Stacy Francis has kept the identity of her second child’s father a secret, but RadarOnline.com can exclusively reveal it is California mega-church leader Bishop Noel Jones.
An insider explains that Stacy was going through a divorce from her husband and the father of her first child, Darwin Kyle Hayes, when she had an affair with the Bishop — resulting in her second child, Anastasia Noelle Jones.
“It was very taboo for a man in his position in the church to get involved with a married woman!” the source exclusively told RadarOnline.com.
Bishop Jones, 62, runs the City of Refuge Church in Gardena, Calif., is the brother of outrageous singer and supermodel Grace Jones, and has been romantically linked to famous faces like Real Housewives of Atlanta star NeNe Leakes and actress LisaRaye McCoy.
“Stacy is very protective of her children and feels like she should be the one to release information about her baby’s father when she’s ready,” the source said.
“But at the same time, she’s getting really tired of hiding and trying to avoid all the questions.”
Tired of hiding, Stacy, 42, eventually confirmed Bishop Jones is her daughter’s father exclusively telling RadarOnline.com, “I love him very much and I am not ashamed of my baby. Our baby.”
It was Stacy who fueled the fire in the first place regarding the paternity of Anastasia when she appeared on VH1′s Beverly Hills Fabulous and admitted to becoming pregnant from a man other than her husband.
“I just finished going through a divorce,” a very pregnant Stacy said on the show to stylist Elgin Charles while getting her hair done. “We were actually separated and we were going through the divorce and it’s not his baby.”
Not one to shy away from the spotlight, Stacy was famously involved in a nightclub altercation with Whitney Houston just days before Whitney’s unexpected death, where sources said the two women were fighting for attention from hip hop artist, Ray J.
Calls to Bishop Jones for comment were unreturned.
Mediajuicejoint- Our good friends over at Mediaoutrage has known about this for quite some time, but out of respect for the so called man of God who stay tricking on the church’s dime held back reporting …but WAIT there’s more tea to be spilled find out what Stacy’s husband did when he found out the Bishop was laying pipe to his wife RIGHT HERE
